Offshoring (sometimes referred to as global sourcing) refers to when companies relocate business activities, including jobs, to foreign locations (Jagersma & van Gorp, 2007). The relocated jobs and activities could be at a foreign office of the same multinational company or at a separate company located abroad (Garner, 2004).
