Process Innovation Definition

Srivardhana and Pawlikowski (2007) define Process Innovation (PI) as improving the sequencing of work routines and information flow to achieve business improvement. A vast amount of readings relate PI to business process improvement or business process re-engineering. Rush (2007: 221) defines process innovation as the way in which an organisation creates and delivers its offerings. PI involves measuring and structuring business activities and achieving occasional improvements in business performance (Davenport, 1993: 331).
