Unbundling Definition

Unbundling refers to the breaking up of a conglomerate into smaller, focused and independent companies. Shareholders in a conglomerate are usually given direct shares in the subsidiary companies of which the unbundled conglomerate previously consisted (Rossouw, 1997).
