The Team Leader apprenticeship is designed for new or aspiring managers, who have just started on their management journey over the last few years or are about to move into management. They will lead a team in daily operations, head up projects and communicate with an increasing range of stakeholders of increasing seniority.

This course will provide you with a firm grounding in all aspects of leadership that they will come to use throughout their professional life. They will be able to confidently manage their team, knowing that their approach is based on the very best, current management and leadership thinking.

Accredited by the Chartered Management Institute, Level 3 Team Leader / Supervisor Apprenticeship curriculum is designed to connect learning to personal and company goals through a blend of theoretical and applied activities.

You need:
  • To have the right to work in the UK
  • To have lived in the UK continuously for the past 3 years
  • At least a grade of 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • To have not previously studied the course content
  • To not undertake any other qualification during your apprenticeship
  • To be able to apply your learning to your role

Once the programme is complete, you will be assessed through the End Point Assessment (EPA) by an independent, accredited organisation.

Project proposal and presentation with Q&A
The project proposal's subject, title and scope will be agreed between the employer and the EPA Organisation at Gateway Submission is 12 weeks after Gateway

Presentation focused on the project

  • At least 8 questions in the Q&A
  • Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence
  • 0 pieces of skills-based evidence
  • 60 min with 6 competency-based questions

The Level 3 Team Leader / Supervisor Apprenticeship is costed at £4,500.

If your organisation pays the Apprenticeship Levy tax then the full programme costs can be paid via your Apprenticeship Levy funds.

If you do not pay the Apprenticeship Levy tax and would like to increase the leadership and management capabilities in your organisation, the Government will fund 95% of the programme cost with the organisation co-investing the remaining 5% (£225 or £15 per month).
