New Position Available: Head of Research

A new Head of Research is required to lead the development of our world class suite of professional publications, to facilitate the delivery of client workshops at executive level and to tutor professional learners who enrol on our Chartered Management Institute qualifications, delivered online.

The person

You’ll be a skilled researcher, a first class writer and have experience of leading workshops with senior people. You may have a background in teaching at University level and also experience of the commercial world. You will be as confident in working with client groups as you are in crafting engaging research outputs and will be intimately familiar with the fields of management and leadership innovation.

The role

This important role spans the client facing and research engine elements of the business and so the right blend of capabilities is essential.

You will have primary responsibility for:

  • our regular cycle of executive publications addressing the latest thinking and practice in leadership and management innovation
  • designing and facilitating client workshops for groups of 10 – 50
  • working with clients to ensure they gain the maximum benefit from our products and services
  • leading the tutor function providing support and grading the work of learners studying for qualifications, via the distance learning method

Given the blend of responsibilities you’ll work closely with the KnowledgeBrief client services and service delivery teams.

Role requirements:

  • A proven track record in workshop design and facilitation
  • High quality research and writing capabilities
  • Comfortable engaging and presenting to executive audiences
  • Knowledge of the executive education, leadership development and training markets will be important
  • Knowledge of business management theory and practice, obtained via a degree or other study route, is essential
  • Minimum Masters level education.
