Chartered Management Institute (CMI) Level 3, Level 5 and Level 7 Management and Leadership courses have been developed for all levels of learners. You may be about to move into a management role or you may be an experienced leader in a senior role, our courses are suitable for all.

• Level 3 courses are suitable for managers who supervise or manage people, process or projects as a key part of their day-to-day role. The qualifications provide managers with communication and motivation skills to help improve operational efficiency and to achieve clearly defined team and project outcomes.
• Level 5 courses are suitable for operational managers who have some experience in leadership positions. This course pushes their understanding of leadership and management into new areas and formalises some of the skills they may have already started to develop.
• Level 7 courses are suitable for senior managers, directors, and those who are progressing into a more senior leadership position. This builds on existing leadership experience to gain an in-depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a strategic leader and how they align with organisational goals and objectives.
• It is not essential to have management experience to undertake these qualifications, and you do not need to be managing a team of people currently to successfully complete the programme.
• The qualifications are also suitable for anyone who requires knowledge in specific business aspects such as project management, change or process management, procurement, resourcing or any other key management function.

Duration increases from Award to Certificate and Diploma. Typically:

• Award: 1 to 3 months
• Certificate: 3 to 6 months
• Diploma: 6 to 12 months

There are no fixed entry requirements to achieve a CMI qualification.

• Our qualifications are designed to be accessible to learners who are completely new to management.
• As a guide, learners typically have previous experience in a managerial or leadership role - up to 3 years for Level 3 courses, up to 5 years for Level 5 courses, and between 5 and 7 years for Level 7 courses.

Learn and evidence your knowledge

• For each Study Unit learners are required to produce an assignment that demonstrates their understanding of the unit topic.
• Each Study Unit has recommended materials that learners can read and understand and all of these are available on KBPro®.
• We provide step by step guidance materials on how to complete Assignments successfully, and your Learning Advisor can provide the advice you need to succeed.

Study flexibly

• Our Study Units are made easier for you to complete because we break them down into individual tasks, each with a selection of questions that require answering.
• You can dip in and out, completing one smaller task at a time if desired.
• Submit your draft assignment to your Professional Learning Advisor who will feedback, review, and approve it when complete.

Study 100% online with your personal tutor support, as and when you need it.

• To set you up for success your Professional Learning Advisor will: give you a tour of the KBPro® Learning Platform; give you an assignment tips & tricks impact session; deep dive into a specific Study Unit you may have chosen.
• Your Professional Learning Advisor will guide and support you through your learning journey to ensure that you gain your CMI qualification.
• You’ll have access to your Professional Learning Advisor for up to 12 months – 3 months for Award courses, 9 months for Certificate courses, and 12 months for Diploma courses.
• You’ll have access to the KBPro® platform for up to 18 months – 6 months for Award courses, 12 months for Certificate courses, and 18 months for Diploma courses.
